We absolutely LOVED having Ariah as our photographer for both our engagement and wedding photos. She gracefully balanced professionalism with intentionality. She was so active in her communication and structured in her process. She was also so positive, encouraging, and friendly throughout. This makes her such a trustworthy professional who empowers her clients to feel 100% supported the entire time leading up to their wedding day.
We felt like a good phrase to describe our wedding day was that it felt "covered in prayer", and Ariah certainly contributed to that. She walked and prayed with us throughout our entire wedding planning - from discussing our shot lists and preferences months before to taking care of post-wedding needs, like ordering prints and sharing photos with vendors, months after. We are so pleased with our beautiful photos and would definitely recommend her to all of our engaged friends!"
"Ariah is trustworthy and hardworking, so she went the extra mile to make sure our day was successfully and beautifully captured, and we had one less thing for us to think about.
On a wedding day, I spend the first 20 minutes or so meeting all your people — your parents, your childhood best friends, those who were in the trenches with you — learning their names, their stories, and building a genuine connection. No cameras out yet, just good conversation. At the end of the night, I can usually be found running up to your mom and dad, your siblings and bridal party, giving them big hugs and thanking them for dancing with me. While your wedding day is obviously about you, I also understand that it is a celebration for all of those who've played a huge role in who you've become. They get loved on by me too.
My intentional approach to photographing your life is to do it from the perspective of a family member or lifelong friend. Your galleries will look like they were captured by someone who cares for you.
While I will always do my best to guide you throughout the day toward the best locations, lighting, and angles, the true documentarian in me comes out as the raw and genuine moments unfold between you and your loved ones. Of course, a perfectly posed photo is nice to have because you worked hard to put all the details together. But I find the most meaningful photos are of true and genuine connection throughout the day -- the moments that you didn't realize a camera was there, but you are thankful there was.
The foundation of my business is built on two things; trusting relationships and faith in a loving God.
Before our time together, I pray to God that I am a calm, peaceful presence amidst a sometimes overwhelming and chaotic day. I pray that I am at the right place, at the right time, with eyes to see where there is joy, laughter, and happy tears. It is by God's grace that I am able to photograph your world as lovingly as I would photograph my own.
